College & Career Readiness Visitation Form: All juniors and seniors are allowed two (2) absences marked excused as a college or career readiness visit day. These days can be used to visit any institute of higher learning, whether it may be a college, university, trade school, or equivalent as approved by the White Sulphur Springs Schools administration. In addition, it can be used for students who intend to be career-bound, including job shadowing opportunities, military recruitment meetings, etc. If you intend to take a day for a college visit or to explore your career options after graduation, please complete the form linked here BEFORE your intended college/career visit. College Bound

ACT: The ACT test is a standardized college readiness exam required for all Juniors in the spring. Though it is not as heavily weighted today for college entrance, it is still used for scholarships and college placement exams. In 2026, new changes will be coming to this assessment. Click here for a quick preview. The next scheduled ACT exam is April 7, 2026. Our school code is 270930. The district does have a specific study platform known as Methodize that is incorporated into daily teachings to help with preparing for the ACT; however, you can also click here for additional resources beyond what is offered directly through the school.

Apply Montana: The hub for Montana college applications. Application fees are waived during College Application Week in October. Click here for a quick FAQ on ApplyMontana. For schools outside of the Montana, there is also a common application across other schools in the nation. Click here for the out of state options.

College Athletics: For those students that are interested in pursuing athletics at the college level, it is recommended that they register with NAIA and/or NCAA for recruitment purposes. Registration will be required at a fee if a student commits to a team.

National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA): NAIA serves the interests of smaller colleges. Click here for further information on the process as an interested student athlete. A non-refundable fee of $100 is required for registration.
National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA): NCAA is the route for the bigger colleges. Click here for further information if you are an interested student athlete. It is recommended to sign up for the free account, but if commitment is on the horizon, students will be required to upgrade to the fee based membership.

FAFSA: Review and apply for all your federal financial aid needs. UPDATE: The FAFSA is currently open for the 2026-2027 academic year!! A video from Reach Higher has recently been released and can be found here. Check it out for more information, and stay tuned for a special Financial Aid Night coming soon! Listed below is information that you will need to complete the FAFSA:

Create an FSA ID (Click here for a step-by-step worksheet to create your own.)
Social Security Number
Driver's license number (if you have one)
Student's and parent's federal income taxes for 2023
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
Records of assets (if applicable)
List of schools you are interested in

Apprenticeships: Check out the latest registered apprenticeships throughout the state of Montana.

ASVAB: The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is required for those interested in pursuing a military career. Juniors are recommended to take this in the fall/winter. To view personalized results and explorations, visit the ASVAB Program website. (Personal login information provided individually to students or you can contact Tiffany for lost logins.)

Military: There is a multitude of options to pursue if you are interested in the military.

Resume: A comprehensive resume is highly recommended for entering the world of work. A multitude of websites are available to aid in building a resume. All students who take Personal Finance will build one as part of that class. Additional resources can also be obtained through our business teacher and school counselor.
