Montana Mindfulness Project: Courtesy of our very own student leader, Sheila Hamlen, we brought a workshop from the Montana Mindfulness Project to students in grades 5-11 during the 2023-2024 academic year. Each workshop was 15-45 minutes in length, depending on the grade level, and provided practical tools for setting boundaries, reducing stress, and implementing tools for coping and mindfulness. Olweus Bullying Prevention Program: A comprehensive approach to the prevention of bullying. It is this research-based definition that our district has adopted when dealing with cases of bullying.

Power Up, Speak Out: Thanks to ASPEN Montana, students in grades K-12 will participate in a program to discuss healthy relationships and allow themselves to put practical strategies into place for interacting with a variety of populations. Letters will be distributed to parents a couple of weeks in advance of the scheduled dates.

Rural Behavioral Health Institute (RBHI) Mental Health Screenings: The district has partnered with Rural Behavioral Health Institute (RBHI), based in Livingston to provide not only mental health screenings, but on the spot resources as needed for all students grades 6-12. Screenings will be administered to all students the week of September 30-October 4, as well as in the month of May.

Please note that all students will be offered to participate in this screening unless a parent intentionally opts their student(s) out by completing the opt-out form. Students may also voluntarily opt out at the time of screening if they feel uncomfortable.
